Brown Basmatic Rice
Slivered Almonds
1/4 teaspoon Cardamon
1 small onion/shallot diced
1 garlic clove diced
1/4 cup diced Mint
1/4 cup Coconut Shreds
Coconut Oil for sauté
Salt to taste
Bring to boil 2 cups water, add rice *rinsed*, sauté in separate pan with coconut oil, onion, garlic and cardamon add to rice and simmer covered with lid until done around 20 minutes. Garnish with mint and almonds.

He made this rice at a friend’s house and we enjoyed it so much, he gave me the recipe. You could also do a veggie broth bouillon in the water for added flavor.
