How to go Vegan

We have so many great references to get us to vegan.  The books that did it for me, were “Diet for a New America” by John Robbins, I could not believe the treatment of animals, especially the pigs confined in crates, and the environmental devastation.  I immediately stopped eating meat, purchasing leather, never animal tested products, animals in captivity, etc… In my quest, I also became very depressed at what was happening, and started therapy.  My therapist said, the only solution is to be pro-active, and hence my journey to activism began.  I signed up with PETA, have been to many protests, contributed in many other ways, made sure my children’s school stayed vegetarian for the 8 years I was there, ~ A Waldorf education.  And served on the Hot Lunch Committee, wherever there was opportunity I was there.

Approximately 7 years ago, my girlfriend asked me to read “21 Day Quantum Wellness Cleanse, by Kathy Freston, and immediately went vegan and I will never look back.  It feels fantastic not only body wise, but it just feels good to not contribute to any animal suffering, nor what we are doing to the planet.  Please share your stories to vegan, would love to hear from you!

Samantha! I don’t know of that book, but love David’s book “Eating for Beauty”! I know I wish I was raw vegan, but I used to do many raw vegan meet-ups and learned so much from Raw Foodist! They really know so much about nutrition! I try to eat raw breakfast/lunch especially in summer, so just dinner is cooked. Loved that you shared with me! Best wishes on your journey! Going to check out those books! Thank you so much! Blessings! <3
