In India, millions are needing help with food relief. Rakul Preet Singh, and Vik Khatawni founder of Earth Cafe, Mumbai and Aprajita Ashish, Animal Save Movement, Regional Liaison for Asia, have partnered with Million Dollar Vegan to give away food by gifting over 4000 vegan meals in the slums of Asia. Dharvi is one of the largest slums in Asia. These people have lost their jobs and income, and cannot make food for themselves during these covid times- even more so. These lovely people/organizations stepped up to help feed the hungry. No child or person should go hungry, Shammi Sethi owner, Rare Earth Cafe, stated: “This food is highly nutritious, it’s the best way to fight this virus, it gives him immense pleasure to be a part of this event.”
They believe in food justice and the root cause of most pandemics is eating animals, taking them out of their natural habitat, or killing animals for food in general. They want to take pandemics off the menu, and while giving away the food they also educated the families about the many benefits of not eating animals and eating plant-based vegan.

LEBANON VEGAN FOOD RELIEF

Over 4 Million people protested the government just last year over no jobs, no healthcare, no water, and no food. Then in Beirut, a massive explosion where hundreds went missing and more than 300,000 people were displaced from their homes, 5,000 wounded and at least 100 people killed. It was supposedly an explosive made from ammonium nitrate stored at a fireworks warehouse.
On the ground as we speak, we have famous Animal Rights activist, Seb Alex, and as he states on his FB page:
“Today August 17, 2020, was probably the most exhausting day since I got to Beirut but it seems that it’s just getting started.
Thanks to the donations I managed to buy the 2nd set of 100 boxes, up to 400 kg. of healthy plant-based food, pay the operation feeds of a severely injured cat and give out ready meals to Kenyan workers protesting outside their consulate.
I would not be able to carry out this campaign if it wasn’t for the amazing community of activists in Lebanon, the people behind the scenes, you all know who you are and I’m so happy that you exist <3 together we have distributed more than a thousand ready meals and during the next days over 800 kg off boxes full of rice, lentils, pasta, tomato sauce, bulgur, vermicelli, beans, chickpeas, juice and water. Massive thanks you to @lebanesevegans and anyone involved in helping humans and other animals during these tough times… We will try to distribute food to up to 5000 families, if you’re in Lebanon, join us!”
Seb has partnered with Lebanese Vegans who are also helping rescue animals on the ground and I know PETA is there too for the animals.
