The Natural Beauty Hack that Allowed me to Finally Throw my Foundation Away!!

I have always heard amazing things about apple cider vinegar applied topically, but didn’t have the guts to include it in my beauty ritual until now. I have always loved the feeling of applying toner, but never really got shocking results that allowed me to want to keep investing in yet, another, beauty product. Do you see where I am going with this?

I finally put apple cider vinegar on my face as a toner.

And it was amazing.

First of all, you can FEEL it working. Second of all….the results literally allowed me to throw away my foundation, once and for all. After using it THREE TIMES! I was looking in the mirror baffled, not trusting my vision, did I already put my makeup on, and forget? NOPE. No makeup. Just clear and beautiful skin. After 10+ years of never leaving the house without smothering my face in foundation, I am free!

To be clear, there were a few other things I was doing to accomplish this, I had recently done a juice detox for a cellular rejuvenation, our skin is one of the places we release toxins through the pores, so clear skin really does start within. I also started using blackhead removal strips (not really working but maybe tightening the pores), and obviously washing and exfoliating my face like normal.

Apple cider vinegar benefits:

  • Contains malic acid, which is antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral. This can help the skin heal existing bumps but also keeps skin clean and balanced, fighting future acne.
  • Contains alpha hydroxy acids which removes dead skin and also reduces age spots when applied regularly
  • Nixes that itch when you have a bug bite, also helps swelling heal faster
  • Tightens pores
  • Is all natural, so your body can absorb it without any potential side-effects

To get started, all you need to do is mix some organic apple cider vinegar with a little bit of water. Two parts water to one part vinegar is recommended, I did not know this at first and applied it directly…maybe that’s how I got such astonishing results! Now I have it mixed with water for daily use, and added some citrus essential oil to tone down the smell. If you really dislike the smell of vinegar, use it at night only, or wash it off after 30 minutes. Make sure to avoid your eyes also, it can be tear-inducing if you get too close!
